The QCare team, along with ABA IT and the FORWARD project team, will need to make sure the systems functions well. We know there will be ups and downs in this journey, and I would like you to take charge and be proactive in solving any problem that may arise.”

Thanking everyone for their efforts, Mr. Ebrik said: “Systems are always given to you as tools and they will remain just tools unless you use it. It is with your efforts, the system will become productivity. QCare is the 12th ABA division to Go Live with FORWARD, and the issues with the application are also now decreasing. However, if you still face any problems you can always approach the ERP team and support user.”

The gathering was also the perfect chance to recognize the FORWARD heroes in QCare. While each and every member of the division contributed to the Go Live, there were some who offered their consistent support to the entire team and made the transition to the FORWARD system smooth.

A certificate of appreciation was handed over by Mr. Zuhdi and Mr Ebrik to Logistics Officer Aleth Cruz, Division Coordinator Pinky Sharma and Senior Product Specialist Marwa Kamel.

To add a fun element to the gathering and in line with the event’s slogan ‘Your pulse took us forward’, an engagement activity was planned for the evening. The QCare team and their FORWARD associates were individually checked for their blood pressure and heart rate. The team members then wrote down the reading on the banner and signed it off.

The FORWARD application at QCare went live with three modules – Finance, Logistic and Sales – and the system has proved to quicken their overall work process, avoiding any tedious and redundant task. With all data streamlined, complete and in proper order, the QCare staff are happy with the application.

FORWARD moves a step ahead, goes live at ABA Medical

Adding yet another feather in the cap of the super-efficient FORWARD initiative, the Supply Chain Management of Ali Bin Ali Medical went live with ERP application on Monday, November 13. The FORWARD team and ABA Medical’s staff gathered at the Head Office to flag off the journey.

The meeting mainly aimed at addressing the Division’s Go Live preparation, Go Live and post-Go Live activities. The Medical team was also briefed on the magnitude of the project and the effect it would have on business processes.

The Medical Division was chosen to be one of the four pilot sites for this challenging project because it is a unique business model in ABA with a diligent and dedicated workforce that is up to the challenge.

Introduction of the system is a major transformation for the Medical Division and it will automate procedures – thereby making operations more efficient. It was a monumental challenge to implement the system.

General Manager of ABA Medical Mr. Zuhdi Al-Jaouni played a key role in the initiative and left no stone unturned to facilitate the process and properly channel the efforts of the team to ensure success. He was very aptly supported by Assistant General Manger Mr. Mamdouh A Al-Yazouri.

Speaking about the new application, Mr. Jaouni said, “The ERP system will benefit ABA Medical in more ways than one. The initial days may not be very smooth but once we all get used to it, there will be no looking back. ERP will change the way we operate our business.”

As with previous divisions, a support structure has been set up to make the transition process smooth. Subject matter experts, super users and consultants are working with the Intrasoft team to make sure that the system is working smoothly and all business transactions are running correctly and efficiently.

Congratulations to the FORWARD team for yet another achievement and wish you success for rest of the ERP journey.

ABA Group’s QCare Medical announces signing of exclusive agreement with Endocare USA

Fulfilling its promise to introduce state-of-the-art services from international medical brands to the Qatari market, Ali Bin Ali (ABA) Group’s QCare Medical announced the signing of an exclusive agreement with Endocare Inc. USA for the distribution of its Endocare™ Cryoablation technology in Qatar.

A prime vision of ABA Group has been to create a comprehensive, world-class healthcare system in Qatar, whose services are accessible to the whole population.

Keeping this vision in mind and with the aim of complying with the Qatar National Health Strategy (NHS) 2017-2022, QCare in May 2017 proudly installed the first Endocare™ cryoablation machine – Cryocare Cs – in the Middle East at Hamad General Hospital.

Well known Urologist Dr. Franco Lugnani flew in to Doha to conduct a demonstration and training for the medical teams of Dr. Ahmed Omar, Head of Radiology department & Dr. Khalid Al Rumaihi, Head of Urology department at Hamad General Hospital. On May 25, the team performed 3 successful surgeries with the Cryocare Cs .

Speaking about this strategic agreement, Mr. Zuhdi Z Al-Jaouni, General Manager of Qcare Medical & ABA Medical, said: “This exclusive agreement is a particularly important one as a growing amount of evidence supports the use of cryotherapy for patients with localized prostate cancer following radiation therapy.”

Endocare Inc. is a medical device company focused on the development of minimally invasive technologies for tissue and tumor ablation.

Endocare™ cryoablation therapy focuses on the development of a specialized type of cryotherapy for the minimally invasive treatment of cancer with a faster and easier-to-operate cryoablation system for freezing cancerous tumors and tissue.

Endocare remains the market leader in this category, as this new system uses nitrogen as the freezing and tumor-destroying element. The nitrogen, called “critical nitrogen” because it works in a unique form at the critical point where gas nearly becomes liquid, is also more powerful and readily available in surgical suites than argon, the freezing element in Endocare’s current market-leading cryoablation systems.
